Ten for Tuesday and Dreaming

As I'm wont to do, I started to drown myself in the details of Goal setting for this year. Exasperated at my propensity to get bogged down in the details, I deleted my computerized (with footnotes and references, could you just barf?!?) list, grabbed a pen and notebook, and came up with these.

My rationale was that working quickly might give me better insight as to which goals are closest to my heart. I think it worked. Here they are:

  1. Be at church 52 Sundays in a row.
  2. Finish a Bible study.
  3. Stay on a budget.
  4. Have one Mom & Chico night a week.
  5. Spend one evening / day a week on Q's choice of activity.
  6. Take a family photo for each season.
  7. Call both siblings and my parents once a week.
  8. Eat Veg or Vegan at least one day a week.
  9. Exercise 260 days this year.
  10. Complete two quilts.
I have more than ten, of course.  I wouldn't be me if I didn't plan for more than I can ever hope to do.  These ten will be my core.  As I work on other goals that I have, I plan to continually refer back to these ten.  If there's a conflict, then I'll be able to shift my energies back to the higher priority goals.

Our #Finishyear assignment today is: Dream Bigger Than Yourself.  I plan to ask Q about his dream when he gets up from his nap, but in the meantime, I'm curious...  What's your dream?
